Although disliked by many, hornets are gentle giants and much less aggressive than the common wasp. They play an important role in our ecosystem, helping to control the number of pests as well as being an important pollinator.
With sustainable design in mind, this Hornet brooch pin is hand formed (not cast), to reduce the amount of unnecessary metal, whilst keeping carbon emissions at a minimum. Each strip of gold is individually cut and fused to the silver through an ancient Korean technique known as ‘Keum-boo’.
